Christine A. Chadwick is Executive Director of FOCUS St. Louis. She was named the first Executive Director of the organization following the merger between Leadership Center of Greater St. Louis and Confluence St. Louis in November of 1996. In addition to serving as Executive Director, she also directs the Leadership St. Louis and Experience St. Louis programs.
Chris is the Project Manager on many customized services offered by FOCUS. Previous clients include Monsanto, Pharmacia, Commerce Bank, Pfizer, Jefferson College, Thompson Coburn, and others.
From January, 1992-1996, she had her own company, CALAB Consulting, specializing in Nonprofit Management, Long Range/Strategic Planning, and Workforce Diversity. She is an outstanding trainer who creates excitement, involvement, and commitment among participants and is often called upon to facilitate sessions for clients, participate in panel discussions, and give keynote speeches.
Chris has more than 125 cumulative years of experience on over 25 boards of community organizations, currently serving on the following 6 St. Louis Community and National Boards:
- United Way of Greater St. Louis
- National Conference for Community and Justice
- Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis
- Non-Profit Services Consortium
- Missouri Women's Forum
Chris also serves on 12 additional boards in an advisory capacity and is an active member of numerous organizations. She served as President of the Girl Scouts of Greater St. Louis from 1996-98, the last President of The Leadership Center from 1995-96, President of the Saint Louis Zoo Friends Association from 1990-1992, President of the Junior League of St. Louis from 1988-90, and President of the Saint Louis Crisis Nursey from 1986-88 (she is a founder of this agency).
Chris has received numerous honors and awards, which include being recognized as a 1991 Woman of Achievement for Volunteerism, the Spirit of Philanthropy Award from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, the YWCA Leader Award for Community Service, and the National Conference for Community and Justice Outstanding Volunteer Service Award.
Chris is a graduate of the Women in Leadership Program, the Leadership St. Louis Program, the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, N.C., the Dismantling Racism Institute, and was in the inaugural class of Greater Missouri: Focus on Leadership Program.
